How long have you been in the web software development business? Our team is made up of 15 IT-professionals: Project managers, software developers, designers, graphic designers, architects, testers. The oldest of us have been in the software development business for over 20 years. On average each of us has about 10+ years of experience in the software development business. Why did you decide to start this company? What were your motivating factors? We decided to start the company in 2007. The actual start, when the thought had become a reality, was in August 2008. So, we're now 2 years old. Our primary motivating factors, besides money of course ;) were the following: We wanted the software services to be closer to a customer's needs. For example, we felt that many software companies focus primarily on their particular product or service and what we wanted to do is to provide customers with the best solutions that they need, based on the customer's understanding of their own business regardless of our personal likes and dislikes. We feel that the project is a success when a customer gets what the customer wants at the best possible price and at the highest level of service. The other thing we wanted to accomplish was to tailor our inner project processes to fit a customer's business processes, rather than have a customer adapt to our methodology. We felt that flexibility should primarily stem from our side of the table, hence - the name of our company. What would you say ‘flexbl’ specializes in? As of today, we specialize in custom web development projects and mobile applications. What is the companies’ greatest strength? I would like to believe that this is flexibility, being on time and within the budget, delivering exactly what is expected of us. What would you say is the most challenging job about web software? I would say the most challenging part is determining the right solution for a particular case and being on the verge of constantly developing technologies. Why did you decide to engage in mobile application development last year? Very simple. We ourselves take great keen interest in new technologies and products. Mobile devices is what's developing the fastest these days. We like them and use them. So we thought why not make our hobby a business of ours? We tried. We liked it. We decided to go on. Apps have been around for quite some time now, what has made it more popular than ever? I believe that it's the notion of having everything a person may need to go on with the day-to-day business, plus entertainment at one's fingertips and that’s what makes mobile apps so popular. Plus some apps are simply cute :) |
